+Orris Liu (Shanghai, China) - Contemporary Art Illustrator Artist
When I was young, I enjoyed holding a paintbrush and doodling, seeking colors and joy in life. This love led me to become a designer, continuously striving to create excellent works by observing the world around me and understanding the relationships between people and objects.
On the path of my career, I have experienced ups and downs and encountered setbacks. When I felt lost and directionless, like a lone boat adrift in the vast sea, it was the inner desire to paint that guided me. Over 20 years later, I rediscovered my childhood dream and used a paintbrush to depict the beauty around me. I wanted to capture the beautiful scenery, envision music and poetry, the vibrant moments in life, and the sudden inspirations that arise within me. I enjoy experimenting with different styles and slowly exploring to find my true self.
I come from the northern region, which instills in me a yearning for freedom and unconventionality. At the same time, my experience of living in the southern part of the country for 20 years has cultivated a deep love for the gentle and tranquil scenes of small bridges and flowing water. These diverse influences will weave through my illustrations, creating wonderful surprises.
I am grateful for life, as it continuously propels me forward in my beloved career, encouraging me to constantly seek and explore. I hope that my illustrations can be like a beam of light in the darkness, bringing a little warmth and resonance to people.
